Airbnb vs. Hotels
I used to only stay at hotels when I traveled but when Airbnb popped up about 10 years ago, some of my accommodation habits changed. Now there are so many platforms you can use to book places to stay, it’s easy to find the perfect fit for any type of traveler.
I will still stay at hotels most of the time when I’m traveling through the US, but I LOVE staying in Airbnbs when I travel internationally. Being in someone’s home, in someone’s neighborhood often gives me a better feeling of immersion in the culture of the country I’m staying in. It also allows me to keep drinks or groceries cool in case I want to stay in and cook instead of eating at restaurants every night.
